Optional Extras
To help you travel safely and comfortably, Dollar offers a number of optional extras that can be added to your rental.
Baby and Child Seats
Under Australian law, all children under seven (7) years of age must use an approved child restraint appropriate for their age and size. Children aged seven must be secured in a restraint if one is available in the vehicle.
All infant and child seats are subject to availability at time of booking.
Infant Child Seat (0 - 1 year)
Rear facing: for infants that weigh up to 9kgs or 20 pounds.
Child Seat (1-4 years)
Forward facing: For children weighing 8-18kgs or 20-40 pounds, and up to 101cms/40inches in height.
Booster Seat (4 - 7 years)
Forward facing: All children between the ages of 4 and up to 7 years must travel in a forward-facing child seat or a booster seat. Booster seats must be fitted in the rear seats only, in seating positions equipped with lap and shoulder belts.
Refuelling
Pre-Paid Fuel
At select locations, you can choose to pre-purchase a full tank of fuel and return the vehicle low on fuel for a hassle free, fast return. There are no refunds for unused fuel.
Refuelling Service Charge
If you do not pre-purchase fuel and you choose to return the fuel tank only partially full, we will top it up and the cost of the fuel and our refuelling service charge will be added to your rental. Please be advised that fuel charges may vary by location.
Toll Roads
Customers at the rental counter will be asked if they will be using their own Toll Pass or E-Tag for their hire.
For customers who are not, they will be opted in to our Toll Service Product. Any tolls incurred will be passed on to the renter plus an Administration charge of 15% on any Toll charges incurred. These charges should be received within 10-15 business days.
For customers using their own Toll Pass or E-Tag, they will be opted out.
If a customer has opted out but does not have their own Toll Pass or E-Tag and they incur any Toll charges during the rental, they will be charged these plus an administration charge of AUD$65.00 Incl GST. These charges should be received within 10-15 business days.
